Today was a great day of generally vegging out at Garrets on msn then swimming at an awesome beach and not getting sunburn! I ended up taking lots of random pictures of the water and the area around it too. We got our dinner out at the beach take away too rather than have to drive home and actually cook there.

Just a warning, this is a pretty photo heavy post.

It’s just a done thing to get hot chips after being at the beach. Oh and Red  Eye is awesome.

Unfortunately some of the beach decided to come home with us… my shoes are all sandy.

Anyway other than swimming and avoiding my blog for a few days I’ve gone to the LAN (and found out our Minecraft world is broken… this is a very bad thing) I also spent most of Friday working on polymer strawberries. I’m thinking of making it into a pendant or just keeping it for decoration.

This made my mother and I giggle. A lot.

THIS is nightmare inducing. To explain though this guy does an Australia Day add every year with the emphasis being on eating lamb. Because apparently all Australians eat lamb… or should anyway.

Anyway I made a page on here specifically for Australian slang, simply because I thought it would be fun/ educational. Maybe.

I shall attempt to make this post more “Strayan”

This arvo rather than have a barbie like all the bogans, I sat in the shed with my mum, bored shitlesss and eating bikkies. The cats were being sooks because we had to take them outside with us, then the youngest decided she’d have a stickybeak about the place. After that she was fine. I probably should have gone to the bottle-o and got some Bundy so we could have had a drink, then again we’d have ended up pissed. We would have needed the esky filled with ice too. Perhaps my dero of a brother might have stayed at home then at least. Bastard.

Later on my boyfriend rocked up and we sat on the deck for a while. After a while we decided it was tea time, so we got some KFC. Shoulda had Maccas though. After that we went to his unit and vegged out in front of the TV until it was late and time him to put the bins out for the garbo man and for me to head home.

Yeah, I know people who talk like that… anyway Happy Australia Day.

Since its summer the fleas and ants are out in force as well. My poor Antonia has so many I can’t comb them all off. Hopefully bombing the house and a dose of Advantage will help. In the mean time she has to stay out of my room, which is sad because she always sleeps there of a night time and makes sure I’m awake.

Fortunately once we have things under control it will be easier to keep it that way.

Anyway, hopefully I get to do something fun tomorrow. Even just going for a swim would be better than hanging out in the shed with the cats for hours…

Mum, my brother and I did spend a good hour or so out on the deck exchanging some pretty foul jokes. That was great actually. I’m very lucky to have a mother that I don’t have to be self conscious around. She even laughed at a dead baby joke. These were some of the best ones.

My wife said “Why dont you use some tools on me in the bedroom and see if u can make me scream”
Me starting the chainsaw certainly made her scream.

I got so sick of the trick or treaters at Halloween that I turned the lights out and pretended I wasn’t in.

Fuck the ships. My lighthouse, my rules.

We also downloaded a game for our cats on my brothers iPad. They were slightly amused, but he ended up playing it more than them! I think the cats were a bit shy to be honest.

Anyway, it’s Australia Day soon so I should probably think of something fun to cook that day. I might do kangaroo again, but I’d rather try something new. I might just wind up making damper and salad actually. At least that way I’m not stuck with a house that stinks of Skippy!

Well that’s me for today, time to go read/ watch SG-1/ play TS3/ sleep or whatever it is I end up doing.

Anyway the parcel she sent arrived today ^_^ I feel super spoiled! The knecklace is so pretty, I love it. I’m actually wearing it now. Seriously how did you know I love that colour??

I also got a Hello Kitty note pad. Even the pages are pink <3

The card/ letter was sweet too Oh and I’m already plotting for her birthday hehehe.

The other cool part of today was baking New York Cheesecake. Unfortunately when I cut it the centre was still too warm. The rest can firm up in the fridge overnight. I’d love to post the recipe, but it belongs to my boss so I haven’t got the right to post it anywhere. I’ve even got it memorised so I don’t need it written down. Yup the recipe is THAT good.

The rest of the day was pretty awesome too. We went to Kmart and I got a new pair of heels. Black suede <3 The heel isn’t too high either so I can use them more often than my patent leather ones.

I also got some driving practice in. Newer cars are scary to drive… I’m used to having to plant the accelerator in my car. It’s kind of scary realising a extra gram of pressure could mean breaking the speed limit, or even crashing. Once you adjust though it’s really fun! I’m looking forward to updating my car. There are so many more things I plan to do before that though.

Anyway the plan for tomorrow is to work, wait for the mail man (hurry up damn it T_T), hopefully make a baked cheesecake and work on my minecraft server. What an exciting life I lead

Of all posts to get it on it was The best decision I’ve ever made. Is it crazy that I find that kind of funny?

There are some people who I believe only get married for the party, the dress and the belief that life will ultimately be easier afterwards. I’ve even helped cater at weddings where the bride and groom haven’t spoken the entire evening. Don’t even get me started on bridezillas… The couple tonight were the complete opposite.

They looked like they were in their late 20s to early 30s and from the stories told over speeches it’s clear they work really well together. One of their friends even flew all the way from San Francisco just to wish them well. I actually got to see part of their first dance too and they were smiling the entire time. That’s how a couple should be on their first day as husband and wife, in love and happy. One day if I’m lucky I’ll have a marriage like that as well.

Today’s' question: What do you love most about your home town?

It’s a nice seaside town, settled along a river, where you can walk to just about anything you need. I walk along the river to my job and the scenery is beautiful. I live in the kind of area where you can see the town, farmland, forest, mountains, a river and the  ocean. Taking photographs here is really fun.

The only downside with being so isolated is that whenever you want to do something specific, like go to a major shopping centre like Myers you have to drive at least an hour away. Flights are pretty expensive too since we only have a small airport.

It was a really average day. Nothing major happened.

I have looked at iPad prices at the Telstra shop by the way. Thinking I might get one. I’m looking at quitting my shit job ASAP though so it might have to wait.

Anyway, that’s about it for today. Besides typing this up on my phone is annoying. >_>

I don’t know why I like bees so much. I mostly dislike other bugs. Especially the ones that sting or bite. Even ants can make me uncomfortable at times. That’s highly dependent on how many are there though.

Anyway, one of my favourite things to do in summer is to go outside and watch the bees. The first time I saw a bumblebee I wasn’t even sure what it was.

They were accidentally introduced to Tasmania in 1992 and have since gone feral. The sad thing is that they make it harder for our native bees to survive. I very rarely see them in my garden at all. Bumblebees are also far more aggressive. Despite that, they’re extremely cute. At least the Honeybee (which is also an introduced species) is useful though!

The tacos were delicious, but so messy! I’m not sure there is an easy or neat way to eat them. Next time I’m making an onion ring one too. I was full by the time the onion rings came out

Anyway after that we watched The Goonies, which was adorable. Very, very cliched and product placement heavy though. I’d definitely watch it again though. Maybe whilst eating a pizza from Dominos and drinking a Pepsi (lol)

The rest of the day I’ve spent sitting inside and reading Fools Fate. I did brave the heat outside on the deck for a while though. After the temperature dropped about five or ten degrees!

Our deck is more like an open sun room. It has parts of the walls missing to allow a breeze. Sometimes it just doesn’t work though.

Also, I hope this internet blackout actually achieves something. Considering I don’t have a chance to vote in the USA, it’s kind of frustrating to have their political issues thrust upon me when I live in Australia. Yes it might become a global issue, but it’s annoying. I also highly doubt it would ever get passed if it actually came to a vote. Sites like Wikipedia, WordPress, Google and Facebook are here to stay. The only things I can imagine getting blocked are websites that are to do with racism, hate speech and The Pirate Bay etc… is that such a bad thing? Ok i admit I’d miss the piratebay… Anyway, there’s no way the USA will allow itself to become like China. Not when the country (as far as I’m aware) is full of people who believe in freedom of speech. Even the crazies in the street have a right to be heard.
